St John's CE First School is looking for a Teaching Assistant G3 to join our fantastic team. Could this be you?

Actual Salary £15,857 - £16,120 per annum (Grade 3)

This job is Part Time - Term Time Only for 30 hours per week and 39 weeks per year.

It is offered on a Permanent basis. 

Approximate start date 4 November 2024.

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, capable and creative Teaching Assistant.

The role will involve assisting the Headteacher and teachers in the implementation of a programme of work and in the provision of a stable, caring and supportive learning environment, which enables pupils to achieve their full learning potential and facilitates their personal, social and moral development.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising the activities of pupils during the school teaching periods and the midday sessional break within the school, including both indoor and outdoor areas, ensuring a safe environment is maintained at all times.

There may be a Special Needs input to work with pupils. Support is both on a 1:1 basis and in group, to pupils with disability, learning difficulty or behavioural problems.

Qualities required for the role include strong communication and interpersonal skills, patience, and the ability to be flexible & adaptable and a team player.
