St Mary's C of E Primary School is looking for a Assistant Cook to join our fantastic team. Could this be you?

Actual Salary £8,163 - £8,292 per annum (Grade 3) This figure shows the actual salary which is offered following the recent pay award, and is therefore slightly higher than the salary shown above.

This job is Part Time - Term Time Only, for 15 hours per week and 38 weeks per year.

Approximate start date 4 January 2025 or earlier if possible.

15 hours a week, term time only. Monday to Friday (11am - 2pm).

We are looking for an Assistant Cook to join us who can work with the external catering service in providing a cook chill service. Be responsible for the safe and effective preparation and serving of schools meals and beverages. Keep all hygiene and stock records as required. Ensure food is safely prepared in line with identified intolerances and allergies, with appropriate processes put in place to ensure the correct meals are served to the correct pupils. Assist in the supervision of the school lunch time service, ensuring that pupils follow school behaviour policy. Maintain all areas of the kitchen and pieces of equipment, to necessary standards of kitchen hygiene. To wash up and keep the kitchen area tidy and safe. Promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people in accordance with the school’s safeguarding and child protection policy. Undertake appropriate training to ensure the role can be performed to required safety and hygiene standards and to meet legislative requirements.
